This magazine was inspired by my own real life events. I find that for many people, it is hard to practice self love and appreciate who we are. The idea for this magazine was for it to be a monthly subscription filled with activities to help create healthy life habits revolving around self love. The magazine includes sections for poetry, daily challenges, personal stories, writing prompts, mental health, and affirmations. All of the illustrations are water color and also done by me.
For this project, I created the brand for a conference. The conference is called Solve (UX/UI). The purpose of this conference is to discuss problem solving and research within the field of UX design. I wanted the brochure to stick with the brand and maintain the “solve” aspect throughout it. The brochure is inside a pouch that has a die cut of the logo on the front. After you pull out the brochure from the pouch, you see the cover has the logo as well. On the inside, there are riddles to solve throughout the booklet. There are also some transparent sheets with designs from the brand on them, because this gives the feeling of the text underneath being hidden. You have to turn the page to uncover what the text is saying. Besides this, the brochures overall purpose is to tell people when the different speakers are speaking and in what rooms.
This video is a fake promo for vans. I love their shoes, so I chose to do my project on them! Their brand incorporates more than just shoes, but also the idea of creativity, identity, and self expression. They bring these elements into their brand through design, pattern, color, shapes, characters, stories, and more. Because of this, I wanted to do the same and represent their brand in a fun and energetic way!
